Bocombra Lodge Pilot is a 1400 m2 2-storey building in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, which is the headquarters of child support services in the Craigavon Area. The building includes office accommodation, as well as clinic and therapy spaces for children, young people and their guardians.
EDISON hardware will be deployed to control the lighting within the main reception and administration office of the building. This area is the point where all members of the public enter the building and await their appointment with health care and social workers. The floor area of this space is approximately 35 m2.
Lighting in the building is generally achieved using compact and linear fluorescent luminaries. The lighting within the main reception office is via 1.200mm surface mounted fluorescent luminaries with a total existing connected load of 600W.
The electrical load within the building is currently metered, but not via any form of smart metering, however prior to the commencement of validation, the existing energy consumption for the spaces is planned to be monitored and recorded.
Bocombra Lodge operates 5 days per week, from 9am until 5.30pm, with some evening and night time working on an occasional basis.
Approximately 35 full time staff members are based at Bocombra Lodge, but is accessed on a daily basis by up to 100 people including 50-60 members of the public.
